Woman discovers body inside freezer she bought from yard sale

An unidentified woman from Goldsboro, North Carolina was shocked to find the body of an old lady inside a used freezer she purchased at a neighbor’s garage sale.

According to reports, the woman bought the second-hand freezer for only $30 but didn’t open it immediately. Apparently, she was told by the previous owner that it was being used as a “time capsule” as part of a class project she was doing with her church for Sunday school class.

“A church was supposed to come, pick up the items inside the freezer. I was supposed to get the freezer back. The church never came. I decided to open it,” the woman narrated.

After her shocking discovery, the woman immediately contacted 911 to seek help. Police later confirmed that the remains of a local elderly woman who died of natural causes were placed inside the freezer.

The buyer believes that the body belonged to the elderly mother of her neighbor identified as Marcella Jean Lee.

“She sold me her frozen mother for USD 30. How do you do something like that?” the woman told the press.

Reports revealed that the 75-year-old mother known as Arma Ann Roush lived with her daughter for years and was last seen in August last year.

Police are currently on the hunt for Lee, who is being sought on charges of failure to report a death.
