Guests at royal wedding in Kuwait receive diamond rings as souvenirs

The union between the grandson of the Emir of Kuwait and the daughter of a famous businessman was definitely one of the grandest weddings of the year, with hundreds of big names in the Arab world in attendance.

The union of Shaikh Fahad bin Nasser bin Sabah Al Ahmad and Fay bint Loay bin Jassim Al Kharafi was grand in many ways. Not only did the bride wear a beautiful gem-encrusted gown and the reception hall was filled with crystal, the guests were given diamond rings as wedding favors.

It is unknown if they asked for the guests’ ring sizes before the event.

The diamond rings were placed inside a small box enclosed in a container topped with the figure of the bride and groom.

The upperclass attendees include members of the royal family as well as some of the most popular celebrities in the Arab world. Netizens are speculating what the bride and groom received as gifts.

The world may soon forget about the names of these royal couple but they will long stay in the minds of those who were truly amazed at their extravagant and impeccable taste in wedding favors.

Still, theirs was not the only extravagant wedding of the season because just a week earlier, the son of the Sultan of Brunei (one of the world’s richest men!), Prince Abdul Malik, got married to Dayangku Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah Pengiran Haji Bolkiah.

The couple wore matching outfits made of real gold and adorned with various precious gems. Instead of regular flowers, their wedding banquet was adorned with precious gems and metals.
