A woman’s wedding day is one of the most magical moments in her life. But what if the groom is late for their date at the altar?
Imagine the anxiety of this woman who waited restlessly for her tardy soon-to-be-husband on the side of the road in Xinyu, Jiangxi Province, China, last October 1.
According to CCTVNews, since it was also China’s National Day, it seemed that her partner was caught in heavy traffic because of the holiday rush.
After the photos made the rounds on social media, netizens felt sorry for the bride saying, “a beautiful lady should never be kept waiting” and “I hope she had a quiet chat with him.”
Others were also puzzled as to why they would schedule their wedding on National Day. One netizen explained, “Chinese have a seven-day vacation for celebrating National Day, so there are many weddings at that day.”
So, did he ever show up?
Unfortunately, there were no updates and even reports if the groom arrived. Well, we certainly hope he did.
