The DailyPedia was at the launch of the much-awaited ASUS Zenfone 2 held at Hall A, World Trade Center, Pasay City last May 16. We got to try out the ZE551ML model.

ZE551ML has impressive specs because it’s the world’s first phone to offer 4GB ram. it also has a 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, supports 4G LTE network signal, and uses Lollipop OS. It’s also a lot cheaper than high-end phones at Php 13,995.

Aside from its impressive hardware, the Zenfone 2 has  seven notable features.

1.) Bold Design

The Zenfone 2 has a sophisticated look that does not sacrifice its functions. The screen covers a 72 percent of the body, offering a wide window for you to explore your phone.

The winner of the IF Design Award 2015, the Zenfone 2 has eliminated the control buttons on the side and places them on the back for easier access.

2.) Everything has a shortcut

Too lazy to scroll through your list of apps? Zenfone 2 has a shortcut feature to make it easier for you. Write “S” on your locked screen to launch the Browser app or write “C” and wait to capture your perfect selfie of the day.

Tap the screen twice to put it in sleep mode and repeat the same tapping motion to wake it up.

5.) Fast battery charging

Full battery charge will only take 1 hour 30 minutes. But like other phones, the battery won’t last long if you’re constantly connecting to the internet. Good thing they released the world’s first credit card sized 10,050mAh power bank together with other accessories. Click here.

6.) See it the way you like it

ASUS developed the Splendid software to adjust the color temperature, hue, and brightness so that you can customize your screen to your preferred settings.

So if you like reading ebooks, reading mode is the perfect display setting for your eyes.

7.) A remote control for your laptop

Clicking through powerpoint slides or pausing a movie on your laptop is just one push of a button away on the ASUS Zenfone 2. You can connect the laptop to the phone via WiFi or Bluetooth.

Overall, we’re pretty satisfied with what the Zenfone ZE551ML can do. It’s a great smartphone for the price. Check it out for yourself soon.
