Victim rams snatcher’s scooter leading to arrest

A suspected snatcher identified as Great Jaime Reyes was caught by the authorities after his victim’s husband’s van ran into his scooter on Monday, May 11 in Quezon City.

According to ABS-CBNnews.com, Reyes snatched  the bag of Joseph Leung’s wife which contained money and jewelry. Reyes fled with his scooter but was caught on traffic at Tomas Morato. Leung took the opportunity and rammed Reyes’ vehicle.

Reyes suffered from injuries after he got stuck under the van of Leung and was brought to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect later denied he snatched the bag from Leung.

Previously though, Reyes was involved in a similar offense (which happened along Mother Ignacia, Quezon City) in 2012. And apparently there was a Facebook page which seemed to be dedicated to Reyes (using the alias Luckyboy Wagas) obviously created by outraged people he must have aggravated. It displayed photos of alleged gadgets, money, and gift certificates stolen by Reyes.
