Chivalry not dead; Obama shares umbrella with 2 staff members under heavy rain

THE WHITE HOUSE – It should be a plausible excuse to refuse sharing an umbrella with anyone; he is the President anyway.  But U.S. President Barack Obama is not only the leader of a global super power, but he is also one of the few men who still value etiquette and chivalry.

A video showing President Obama’s humble gesture is spreading like wildfire in the digital world. In the video, President Obama is seen getting off Marine One and then moving to the other chopper where senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and deputy chief of staff Anita Decker Breckenridge were onboard. The President waited until the two ladies exited and all three of them walked back to the White House under the same umbrella in the pouring rain.

The simple gesture earned praises from Netizens.  This only proves that President Obama is not only a President whose leadership serves as an inspiration to many, but whose chivalry should be an example to others.
