A 19-year old freshman college student was arrested for sexually assaulting a female classmate after he allegedly reenact scenes from erotic movie “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Mohamad Hossain, 19, has been accused of using sexual voilence-whipping, punching, and raping against woman’s consent, according to Assistant State’s attorney Sarah Karr, Chicago Tribune reported.
Prosecutors said Hossain brought the woman to his dorm about 5:30pm Saturday.
Upon his request, the victim left only her bra and underwear on hold, then tied her limbs with belts. He covered his mouth using necktie and knit cap over her eyes, before removing her underwear to strike her using his belt several times, Karr told the Cook Country court.
According to an arrest report, Hossain’s roommate came home soon after the assault and told another person about the incident and authorities took into action.
Upon initial asking by campus police, the university of Illinois-Chicago admitted to “doing something wrong.”
The student ambassador told the prosecutors that he had assaulted the woman and was actually re-creating parts of the movie, which features scenes of bondage and sadomasochism.
Hoosain’s bail reached $500,000.
