Instagram Users are Angry as Fake Accounts are Deleted

Instagram made a very good decision to delete all spam accounts on Instagram, last week they announced that they will remove all accounts that do not follow the community guidelines, the inactive, fake and spam accounts.

Though for me it is a positive thing, it gained a lot of negative reactions from celebrities and other people who bought followers on Instagram. As of today people are still putting comments on Instagram’s official account to express their anger. Also a lot of rumors are spreading that if you follow a certain account you will get all your followers back.

On Instagram’s Official Blog they posted :

When we remove accounts from Instagram that don’t follow our Community Guidelines, you may see a decrease in your follower count. This shouldn’t affect engagement from authentic accounts that like and comment on your posts.

But still a lot of teenagers are also getting mad because even though they did not buy their followers, a lot of them do not know that part of their followers are spambots and fake accounts, they gain those followers by putting several hashtags in their posts and those are the accounts who like and follow you so that their interactions would seem real.

Ofcourse not all users are mad at what happened some are even thanking Instagram for what they did, and now we will really know who has real/organic followers, and I do hope that other social networking sites will follow.
