10 Memorable Characters Of Tia Pusit

Dolphy, Bella Flores, Mark Gil, and now, everyone is heartbroken by another Philippine showbiz legend…Tia Pusit. After falling ill and being hospitalized for almost a month, the legendary comedienne passed away last night at the age of 66 after suffering from medical complications, including brain hemorrhage from her double bypass operation last Sept 9.

2. Hulihin Si Nardong Toothpick (1990) – Tia Pusit played the minor character of Tita Manay in this comedy film starred by Herbert Bautista and directed by Jett C. Espiritu

3. Once Upon a Time in Manila (1994) – Starring Vic Sotto, this comedy/action movie directed by Tony Y. Reyes was also casted by Asian superstar Cynthia Luster, Tia Pusit as Panchang, Gloria Sevilla, Romy Diaz, Babalu, and Ritchie D’Horsie.

4. Hataw Na (1995)  – The late comedienne played Nena Masbate in this comedy/drama film.  Directed by Jose Javier Reyes, this was Miss Universe Dayanara Torres’ second movie in the Philippines and her first team up with Gary Valenciano.

5. Kasal-kasalan (Sakalan) (1998) – In this drama/romance film starring Judy Ann Santos and Wowie De Guzman, Tia Pusit played Akang. Other stars were Gladys Reyes, Christopher Roxas, Ai-ai de las Alas, and Elizabeth Oropesa

6. Pinay Pie (2003) – Starring Ai-ai de las Alas, Joyce Jimenez, Assunta de Rossi, and Vhong Navarro, Tia Pusit played Tarcing, Ai-ai’s mom who wanted her to get married already.

7. Bahay mo ba ‘to (2004) – In this situational comedy  TV Show, Tia  Pusit played as Bella, along with the main characters such as Ronaldo Valdez, Wendell Ramos, Gladys Reyes, Bea Binene, Tessie Tomas, and Sunshine Dizon

8. Moomoo & Me (2009) – Moomoo (John Prats) is a friendly ghost who moves from house to house trying to find the perfect family that he could belong to, as he stumbles upon the Magpantay family composed BJ Forbes, Yayo Aguila, Saab Magalona, William Martinez, and Tia Pusit.

9. Mara Clara (2010) – In this remake of the drama teleserye, Tia Pusit played as Yaya Vonel, together with Kathryn Bernardo as Mara, Julia Montes as Clara, Mylene Dizon as Susan, and Jhong Hilario as Gary.

10. Confessions of a Torpe (2014) – This Pinoy drama series starred Ogie Alcasid, Gelli de Belen and Alice Dixson supported with Bayani Agbayani and Jojo Alejar. Tia Pusit played as Aling Rosing, one of the guest casts along with Dennis Padilla, Dominic Ochoa, and IC Mendoza. This was also her last TV show
