Romania – 17 year old Alexandra Olaru, who went at great lengths to hide her pregnancy, was arrested by authorities for alleged murder of her child then burning it in her parent’s stove.

According to reports, Alexandra gave birth to her child in their home at Silvilesti , Gorj County, while her parents were not at home.
She allegedly suffocated the poor child with a pillow and disposed the dead body into her parent’s wood-burning oven.
No one knew about what she did until her own confession to her classmates spilled the truth. She spilled everything to her classmates who then told their teacher. The teacher called the police, and Olaru was arrested.
At the interrogation, Alexandra confessed the horrible crime to the police, says Emil Mota, prosecutor spokesperson.
Olaru, to be filed a murder case against her if she is found sane, is now undergoing a series of psychiatric tests
Her best friend Pal Iona Bibesco said, “No one knew she was pregnant, she didn’t look it and she didn’t tell anyone. We only found out when she came to school the next day and told us what had happened. At first we thought she was making up some sick sort of joke, but as she went into more detail we began to realise it was probably true.”
Alexandra’s father, Marcel, added, “We had absolutely no idea she was pregnant nor that she had gone to such terrible measures to keep it from us.”
