This quickly spread on social media with people questioning SM’s credibility and who is responsible for releasing the said shirt design. Many speculated it was part of the Boys’ Night Out (BNO) collection, a radio show of Magic 89.9. The group’s hosts are currently signed as endorsers of the mentioned mall.

Sam YG, one of the hosts of the BNO show said on his Instagram account that the Rape shirt was not part of their collection

SM Supermalls also released their statement on this issue saying they are investigating on how it was displayed adding that the particular shirt design will be pulled out immediately.

They also added in their updated statement,

We do not tolerate such action. SM does not support such irresponsible and malicious acts that mock important and sensitive social issues. We have immediately pulled out all the t-shirts of the consignor that distributes them, and we are investigating why it was included in our delivery of assorted t-shirts.
