EAC-Mapua Basketball Match Ended in a Brawl

So intense was the EAC-Mapua match that a brawl broke out with with 28.6 seconds left and EAC winning, 86-77 on Monday evening at the San Juan Arena. It all started when CJ Isit of Mapua shoved EAC’s John Tayongtong near midcourt. In retaliation, Tayongtong unloaded a right straight to the face of Isit, who was down on his knees for awhile. After a while, it became a free for all with the referees and game bouncers struggled to pacify the tempestuous players.

All players and coaches involved will be slapped a minimum one-game suspension, according to league commissioner Bai Cristobal. Jesse Saitanan of Mapua and Jozhua General of EAC were the only players who escaped sanction as officials handed the victory to EAC.
