VIRAL VIDEO: Man Struck By Lightning While Recording the Storm on his Cellphone

Robb Montejano decided to film the storm on his mobile phone when he saw lightning while walking across a field in Seattle, US, on Saturday. The video has proved hit on YouTube, reaching more than 225,413 views as of writing since it was uploaded on August 2.

KOMO reports that Robb Montejano stopped in a field on his walk to take some video of the distant thunderstorm when he was struck by lightning. Even more amazing is that both Montejano and the cell phone apparently survived without much injury.

Robb Montejano wanted to get the lightning on video so his kids could see it, so he pulled out his cell phone and started shooting. Moments later, there was a loud crash and Montejano felt electricity surging through his body. “It’s like every muscle in your body, it seems like they all go off at once,” he told KIRO Radio.

Luckily Montejano survived the lightning strike and didn’t suffer any major injuries.
