When Broadway star Lea Salonga invited fan named Jared Young on stage to sing the Wicked duet ‘A Whole New World’ from the animated movie “Alladin” at Salonga’s concert at BYU De Jong Concert Hall, she had no idea she was about to blow some minds — including her own. Young, later revealed that he had a lifelong dreams of playing “Aladdin” but was repeatedly rejected throughout his years of auditions.
It was awesome to hear Salonga talking how she has been asking people from the audience on stage for years seeing the worst and the best, but seeing someone like Jared Young come on stage is such a great feeling when someone like that comes on stage.
