Jilin Province, China – A woman was rushed by her daughter to the hospital after getting impaled with a knife in her head.
57-year-old Liu Yanya, had been accidentally impaled by an eleven(11) cm knife after a fall inside her home in Changchun, capital of northeast China’s Jilin Province.
Her daughter Wang Xue said, ‘I heard a loud ‘pang’ sound and when I ran out I found my mother sitting under the stairs with a long knife in head.’
‘The blade had gone all the way in leaving only the black handle outside.’
Incredibly, having the knife in her head is not a fatal incident to because she was surprisingly alert when she arrived at the hospital.
Chief surgeon Sun Yang, who performed the operation to remove the blade from her skull said, ‘The more amazing thing is when the patient came in, she was still in a clear mind, and could walk and speak.’
Unfortunately, the real bad news is the woman’s daughter Wang and her husband Sun Zhonghua are now forced to sell their house to pay for Yanya’s medical bills.
