Boy Abunda, noticeably more aggressive with VP Leni Robredo interview; personalities react

Celebrities noticed that veteran host Boy Abunda kept interrupting Vice President Leni Robredo during their interview.

Abunda sat down with other presidential aspirants but was only aggressive when Robredo’s turn. People observed that he wouldn’t allow her to finish her thoughts before jumping to the next question.

The host had a friendlier pace with former senator Bongbong Marcos and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Some say he demonstrated what real bias looks like.

Abunda’s lawmaker sister, Maria Fe, abandoned the Dilawan movement and switched her support for Marcos in 2016. It has also been confirmed that Maria Fe backs the Marcos-Duterte tandem on social media.

Abunda ended Robredo’s stance on the issue of abortion abruptly. She was trying to explain that the issue, especially with rape victims, is a hard one to solve.

“I will be very honest with you. This is a topic that I’m very conflicted about,” she said. “The reason I’m conflicted about it is my faith teaches me na bawal talaga iyong magpatay,” she added.

Robredo believes abortion should only be allowed if the mother’s life is in danger.

“Having said that, ako, kontra ako sa abortion. Pero sa akin, bukas akong pag-usapan iyong decriminalization ng abortion,”

Robredo also gave respective reasons why people shouldn’t vote for the other presidential candidates.

On Marcos, she said he’s too much of a liar and is always absent during challenging times.

“Number one, sinungaling. Pangalawa, in the difficult moments, hindi siya nagpapakita.”

She thinks Sen. Manny Pacquiao has heart but that isn’t enough.

“Ito malungkot, pero iyong kabutihan ng loob kasi sa atin hindi sapat.”

Sen. Ping Lacson to Robredo is someone who has more promises than accomplishments.

“Maraming salita, pero kulang sa on the ground na gawa.”

Meanwhile, Moreno is a candidate who doesn’t have a clear vision.

“Hindi klaro iyong paninindigan sa maraming bagay,” she said.

To Abunda’s credit, he never saw himself as a journalist. His interest in presidential interviews was fueled when he tuned in more on American politics.

“During that time, I got fascinated with the presidential debate in the United States of America. I was very interested… at marami pang iba,” he said.

“It’s very challenging. It’s very daunting… I leave it to the journalists. Wala naman akong ilusyon na ako ay journalist. I am an interviewer. I don’t know if people would understand that, but… I am an inquisitor. I interview people, I ask questions,” he explained.
