Netizens express sadness over Jollibee Champ burger phaseout

The popular Pinoy fast-food company announced last January 2 that they would be removing Champ burger from their menu.

Many netizens expressed sadness over the phasing out of Jollibee’s Champ burger.

The popular Pinoy fast-food company announced on Twitter last January 2 that they would be removing Champ burger from their menu.

“We wish to inform you that soon, we will be phasing out our Champ burger in all Jollibee branches,” the firm said.

“We are working on big and exciting things this year for our burgers line to delight and bring greater joy to our customers,” it added.

Netizens immediately reacted upon seeing the post, mostly expressing sadness over the firm’s announcement.

Here’s what they had to say:

“Dear Jollibee, sa lahat ng short movies nyo, mas naiyak ako sa balitang ‘phase out’ ng Champ nyo… bukod sa favorite ko, ito ang inorder ko nung first date namin ng crush ko.. 16 years ago.. seryoso.”

“I’m depressed because of this. Champ was my only happiness.😭😭😭”

“My Erpat is always looking forward for Champ pasalubong everytime i go home to province. 🙁 paano na yan.”

“Whaaaaaaat???? But I love Champ 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 why you gonna do this???????”

“WHY?!?!?!?! Favorite ko pa naman ang Champ! 😭😭😭”

“Huhu. My husband, who is always on a strict, no carbs diet only enjoys eating his precious Champ, when he wants to reward himself. We hope you reconsider!”

“Sad. 😩”

The Champ burger is part of the Jollibee’s original menu line-up along with Yumburger, Jolly Spaghetti, and Chickenjoy.

Jollibee is the largest fast-food chain in the Philippines with over 1,150 stores nationwide.
