Barangay Pag-Asa throws support behind Arjo ‘Aksyon Agad’ Atayde

AAL will continue to expand in other QCD1 Barangays as more and more women unite in their common goal to support the many projects of Atayde, which include the district’s Kusina On Wheels monthly feeding drive, mobile laboratory, and livelihood programs for women, among many others.

THE leadership of Barangay Pag-asa in Quezon City’s first district recently reaffirmed their support for Quezon City District 1 (QCD1) Cong. Arjo Atayde as they lauded the young legislator for keeping his promise to deliver “Aksyon Agad” in Distrito Uno.

According to Chinggay Bilaos, the newly elected barangay captain of Barangay Pag-asa, “the outpouring of support for Cong. Arjo is understandable, as we have seen firsthand how hard he has worked to uplift the welfare of his constituents.”

“Nakikita at nararamdaman namin ang malasakit at tulong nya para sa residente ng Distrito Uno.”

Bilaos, along with Kagawads Ricky Bajarias and Mike Canceran, and a group of almost 500 women collectively known as Aksyon Army Ladies (AAL), recently took their oaths as an officially recognized group that supports Atayde, who in a survey conducted by the RP-Mission Development Foundation Inc. in 2023 posted a job performance rating of 82.4%.

AAL was conceived and named after Atayde’s Aksyon Agad battle cry and advocacy. The group consists of women representing the sitios of Barangay Pag-asa, specifically Proper and San Roque.

Present during the ceremonies were Barangay Captain Star Untalan of Barangay Siena; Barangay Captain Tess Montalbo of Barangay Balingasa; Kagawad Apple de Jesus of Barangay Siena; Kagawad Chock Samson of Barangay Balingasa; and Kagawad Jerome Taeza of Barangay Maribolo.

Also present were former Barangay Captain Danny Soriano of Barangay Salvacion and former Kagawad Chiqui Alcala of Barangay Katipunan, who hosted the event.

In her opening remarks, Sylvia Sanchez-Atayde—who inducted the members of AAL—welcomed the women of Barangay Pag-asa to the Atayde family.

“Pamilya tayo at nandito tayo para sa isa’t-isa; sa hirap at ginhawa tayo-tayo ang magkakasama hanggang sa huli,” she said

“Magsasawa po kayo sa mukha ko at ng buong pamilya Atayde dahil lagi ninyo kami makakapiling. Pagmamahalan at malasakit sa isa’t-isa ang pundasyon natin.”

AAL will continue to expand in other QCD1 Barangays as more and more women unite in their common goal to support the many projects of Atayde, which include the district’s Kusina On Wheels monthly feeding drive, mobile laboratory, and livelihood programs for women, among many others.

“Kusina on Wheels” is a monthly feeding drive organized by the office of Cong. Arjo Atayde, aimed at providing sustenance to constituents in various Barangays. The Mobile Laboratory, on the other hand, offers a versatile solution for healthcare needs, enabling procedures like blood chemistry testing and X-rays to be conducted conveniently in different locations. Both initiatives exemplify proactive efforts to address community needs with accessible services.
