Mime artist Tito Noel responds to “mukhang pera” accusations

In a response on his Facebook page ‘Tito Noel Official,’ Reyes didn’t exactly deny the accusation but said that he has the right to demand his own talent fee given his success

Baguio-based mime artist Jhonwel Reyes, better known as Tito Noel, has denied a netizen’s claim that he is greedy regarding talent fees.

A certain Jam Nevaliza Condes accused Reyes of rejecting an invite to perform at a “mall show” due to the low talent fee offered to him.

Habang tumatagal nagiging mukhang pera, di tumatanggap ng mall show na mababa tf baka pag singer o artista pato sshhh!!” Condes wrote.

In a response on his Facebook page, ‘Tito Noel Official,’ Reyes didn’t exactly deny the accusation but said that he has the right to demand his own talent fee given his success.

Reyes then highlighted the negative Filipino trait of pulling successful people down.

Ganito naba talaga sistema ng ibang Pinoy? Pag may nararating ung tao hahanapan ng butas Kailangang Hilahin pababa?

He also acknowledged that he’d become irrelevant one day.

Oo alam kong malalaos din ako agad, Atleast kahit paano alam kong may ibinahagi ako sa kapwa ko na Munting kasiyahan at kabutihang Gawa.”

Reyes’ most popular mime character is the ‘Green Soldier’, whose videos have gained millions of views across social media platforms.
