A buyer gets scammed out of P18,000 after ordering hospital bed on Lazada

The store has no reviews and sells products that should be way more expensive than what it is selling them for

An online buyer found herself overpaying for a hospital bed she has yet to receive from a shady seller on Lazada.

Ice Idanan went on Facebook and shared screenshots of her conversation with Charblie, an online store representative.

She saw that the store was selling a hospital bed for only P5000, something her mother really needed due to her failing health.

The deal became even more attractive when Charblie said that delivery would be free of charge. She then sent P2500 as a down payment to the GCash account of one Edna Militante.

However, Charblie said his boss wanted the full payment before delivering the bed, to which Idanan complied.

She was then asked to pay P8000 more but was promised to be refunded once the product has been delivered. Charblie then sent a text saying that a detention charge of P5000 was imposed because of a delay.

For some reason, Idanan still paid the amount. Shortly after, Charblie said another P5000 would be needed from her to pay the demurrage fee.

Idanan then asked for all her money back and even sent a picture of her dying mother.

I admit I was very gullible and stupid to fall for all this. Umiyak nako, tumaas BP ko, asthma attack. Tangina. Sorry. I just really believed in humanity too much. Mabait/tanga lang talaga ako masyado. Sayang pera. Sorry Mommy.” she wrote.

The store’s name on Lazada is ‘Lituania 135.’ At first sight, it looks like a scammer runs it. It has no reviews and sells products that should be way more expensive than what it sells them for.

Another red flag is that their transaction was done on a different platform and not on Lazada.

Charblie constantly calls Idanan for more payments. She is currently seeking the help of Raffy Tulfo.
