Self-proclaimed influencer apologizes after flouting health protocols at a gas station

So far, there hasn’t been any recent news of the PNP catching people who display flouting of health protocols on health measures.

The LGBT community in the Philippines continues to fight for rights it believes gay people in the country should enjoy having.

A number of celebrities and well-known personalities have already displayed their support for the community.

Steps are currently being made in order to fulfill the vision and mission of the gay movement. And whenever a member is oppressed or discriminated against, it is almost certain that the story would make the news.

But there are times when a member is at fault and the community just disavows them completely. A good example would be Andrew Luis Lapid, better known as Buknoy Glamurrr, a social media influencer who saw his huge following dwindle after he belittled tricycle drivers.

The most recent member the LGBT community rejected is another influencer who goes by the name of Gabo.

He came under fire after a video showed him playing a prank at a gas station without wearing any face mask or face shield. This was a total violation of health protocols implemented nationwide.

In the video, Gabo is seen filling up a car that his friend was driving. The two got into a fake exchange which almost no viewer found funny.

Twitter page Gays Over Covid PH slammed Gabo for flouting health measures just to get attention.

Gabo is just another Buknoy whom the public should ignore, netizens say.

A number of people didn’t even understand what he did in the video, but nonetheless, most agreed it was garbage.

Gabo has since issued an apology which many viewed as forced, fake, and insincere. He said that it was all his idea and that the employees at the gasoline station shouldn’t be criticized. He also apologized to Petron for putting their name at risk.

Last year in September, the PNP said it would monitor social media for any violators of COVID-19 restrictions.

PNP deputy chief for administration Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said he had ordered all police commanders to “regularly monitor” social media platforms.

“The social media are full of photos and evidence of hardheaded people deliberately violating the quarantine protocols. These can be used as pieces of evidence to warn, to fine, and to summon the people concerned in coordination with the barangay officials concerned,” Eleazar said in a statement.

So far, there hasn’t been any news of the PNP catching people who display flouting of health protocols on health measures.
