Davao Conyo asked by DDS to remove ‘Davao’ from name after blasting Pres. Duterte; attack his cancer-stricken mom

Hernandez said that being violent at a time like this will not do much in fighting the coronavirus.

Content creator Phillip Hernandez, also known as Davao Conyo, went on Twitter and shared his thoughts on President Rodrigo Duterte’s recent speech saying that those who disrupt the efforts and measures concerning the pandemic will be shot by authorities.

Hernandez showed how he was disappointed when the President did not go into the specifics of alleviating the food distribution but would rather give authorities the permission to shoot at disruptors.

One netizen replied by rationalizing what the President said.

“He was just reiterating that there should be order in the society especially in these trying times. If we let people gather around, the possibility of the virus outbreak would be high and we cannot afford that to happen given that we have limited resources.”

Hernandez said that being violent at a time like this will not do much in fighting the coronavirus.

“But it’s counterintuitive. Bakit ka dederecho sa kung paano mo papaluin ang bata kung ‘di mo naman inisip muna kung bakit niya nagawa ang kasalanan ‘di ba? Nakakatakot lang ang ganung mindset na sa violence agad kumakapit.”

This came after a video on social media shows how 21 residents from Sitio San Roque in Quezon City were arrested after protesting for more wanting more assistance due to the lockdown in Luzon.

The government of Quezon City responded saying “continuous distribution of food packs throughout the city, both from the government and the barangays to ensure that affected families are looked after during this period.”

Hernandez added, “I understand that we should all cooperate but how can we without proper, reasonable, and transparent directives? Ilang days na tayo sa quarantine wala pa ring plano.”

A netizen then sent Hernandez a direct message urging him to remove the ‘Davao’ from his name for criticizing the President.

Hernandez constantly tries to avoid sharing his opinion on politics because that’s not what he’s all about, but he couldn’t help it in this case.

Other social media influencers are backing Hernandez up.
