Kool Trip: Unleash the beauty of hidden tourist places in Philippines

ABS-CBN Sports + Action and Kool Trip Productions in cooperation with AMT Recreation Hauz and Multimedia Services Co., present the newest and coolest travel show on Philippine television, it’s called Kool Trip, Backpackers Edition. A 30 minute show will primarily showcase must-see destinations and prove that it is indeed more fun in the Philippines.

Kool Trip, a travel show, takes everyone to the different tourist destinations in the Philippines that showcase breathtaking scenic attractions. It also aims to unveil the rich and historical heritage of each places.

Hence the “Backpackers” tag, it will feature those places where the peso can go a long way as backpackers have limited budget. Most people nowadays want to explore beautiful places but sometimes money and their limited budget hinder them to do so. Through this show, it will give a better inspirations to people who can travel within limited budget at the same time, people can explore some unknown places to be considered as precious hidden gems of Philippines.

Hosted by Negros Occidental Congressman Albee Benitez, model and entrepreneur Marjorie Cornillez, and comedian Jayson Gainza, the program not only shows the best undiscovered destinations in the country, it also becomes an informative and entertaining journey with the hosts unearthing undiscovered places for travelers with limited means and budget. “Kool Trip” also revisits and shares updates on popular tourist destinations. Moreover, it puts the spotlight on the local color plus the people and their normal way of life. It also is a weekly “food trip” as each travel features the authentic dishes and native delicacies of the destination.

“Kool Trip” has featured Albay in Bicol,   Caliraya and Cavinti in Laguna,   Fort Ilocandia in Ilocos Norte, Pagudpod in Ilocos Sur, Baler Quezon and Sagada. On February 28, it explores Coron, Palawan with guest director Albert Martinez. Next in line are Oriental Mindoro, Cagayan Valley, Mindanao and Visayas region.

Directed by Arnel Caibal, Kool Trip Backpackers airs every Saturday, 6:30 to 7 a.m. at ABS-CBN Sports and Action (formerly Studio 23)
