Throughout history, the public have been looking for someone who can lead, protect, show compassion, and bring justice to their nation. However, every once in a while, there are politicians who decided to take their leadership one step higher, and do things their own way.

Here is a list of the World’s 10 worst and deadliest dictators that do not have any value for the lives of their people. The leaders that were meant to be the nation’s savior who eventually turned into tyrants.

10. Kim Il-Sung – North Korea / 1.6 million estimated deaths

He led the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from the day it was established (1948)  to the day of his death (1998). He was declared the “great leader”. The prisoners in Gulags were forced to dig their own graves before his soldiers strike them with hammers. Pregnant women in camps were made to hard labor to force miscarriages

9. Pol Pot – Cambodia / 1.7 million estimated deaths

He became the leader of the country from 1975 – 1979. In a matter of 4 years, this leader caused the deaths of 1/4 of the Cambodian population. He killed intellectual people- those with eye glasses or a 2nd language. These kind of people are a threat to his power.
