Tuesday Vargas responds to netizens saying mainstream artists are obsolete

Vargas holds her fellow Bubble Gang comedian and creative director of the longest-running gag show in the Philippines, Michael V., also known as “Bitoy”.

Singer-actress-comedienne Tuesday Vargas responded to a comment made by a social media personality who claimed that mainstream media artists are now “outdated” and that social media personalities are the new “mainstream.”

In a Facebook post, the comedienne expressed her thoughts about the mentioned social media personality, stating that she couldn’t tolerate disrespect “ang ginagalang kong artista.”

Vargas said, “Maayos naman ang kanyang sinabi. Nag cause lang ng animosity between people akala ata niya cool ‘yun.

Recently, Michael V went on Instagram to briefly talk about “content.”

“The first thing any ‘content creator’ should understand is the meaning of the word “content”, he wrote.

She added, “Pero bakit need mong i-post na laos na ‘yung nag comment about having meaningful content?

The comedienne expressed her delight at well-behaved social media celebrities and clarified that she was neither envious nor angry.

However, she also clarified that Michael V’s statement about “content is king” is accurate.

“Kailangan gamitin n’yo ang inyong new found fame for a purpose.

Yun lamang po,” she concluded.

Recently, motivational speaker Rendon Labador responded to Bitoy’s post.

“INFLUENCERS” are the new celebrities! Manahimik nalang kayo. MAINSTREAM IS DEAD! Social media is the NEW MAINSTREAM,” said Labador.
