Back in 2015, a picture of ‘The World’s Saddest Dog’ hit the internet being dejected in her kennel.
At the time, Lana, the saddest dog, was turned back by his family who adopted her. She was too sad to go on walks, according to a report. Moreover, Dahlia Ayoub of Mighty Mutts said, “It’s almost like her world shut down.”
Today, Lana is once more homeless, and she might be put to sleep forever.
Waiting for adoption
If she doesn’t find someone to adopt her, she will face euthanasia. According to the reports, the reason why the owners surrendered Lana back to the shelter she used to stay was because the dog snapped at her human mom.
For the specialists, her memories of being the runt of the litter may have triggered her to protect her food. Fortunately, the shelter found someone who gave her a second chance, and so Lana has a family again.
Until recently…
According to Brenda Dobranski, founder of Rescue Dogs Match, “Lana’s adoption did not work out because people want a dog they can pet and play with. “Lana is a silly fun girl but she is not the type of dog that will let you give belly rubs.”
Calling for helping hands, the dog only has until May 20 before she would be put to sleep. Now, the shelter challenges you to man up.
