The Philippine Arena roared with vibrant energy on July 5, 2025, as Puregold’s OPM Con 2025 brought together over 35,000 fans for what would become one of the most talked-about and emotionally resonant music events of the year.
With an already stacked lineup of today’s hottest acts—BINI, Flow G, G22, KAIA, SB19, Skusta Clee, and SunKissed Lola—the night soared to new heights through a series of surprise collaborations that transcended generations, genres, and fandoms.
“We wanted to create something that brings people together through music and give a world-class concert experience to our loyal members and shoppers,” said Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Senior Marketing Manager of Puregold. “This night was about celebrating who we are as Filipinos, our stories, our music, and our shared pride. Seeing fans come together is one panalo moment you will never forget.”
The first surprise of the night came during BINI’s set, when James Reid made an unexpected appearance, performing a sultry mashup of ‘Secrets’ and his R&B hit ‘Di Bale’ with the Nation’s Girl Group.
Soon after, SB19’s Stell, G22’s Alfea, and KAIA’s Charlotte joined BINI on stage for an electrifying group performance of the viral track ‘Shagidi,’ much to the crowd’s delight.
Next came a full-circle moment as rising P-Pop group KAIA teamed up with iconic rock band Mayonnaise to perform ‘Jopay.’ The performance was especially meaningful for KAIA’s Angela, whose 2022 viral TikTok cover of the song helped catapult the group into mainstream awareness.
Not to be outdone, Yeng Constantino brought her signature pop-rock energy to the stage to sing ‘Salamat’ with G22, creating a nostalgic, emotionally powerful number that lit up social media.
The most explosive moment came when SB19—fresh off their energetic performances of ‘DAM,’ ‘CRIMZONE,’ ‘Quit,’ and ‘8TonBall’—began performing their cover of ‘Liwanag sa Dilim.’ In a jaw-dropping turn, Rico Blanco emerged onstage to join the Kings of P-Pop, delivering an unforgettable rendition of the iconic anthem.
Then came an even bigger twist: Rico Blanco danced along to ‘Dungka’ with SB19, joined by BINI’s Sheena, G22, and KAIA, uniting three of the country’s biggest girl groups and one OPM legend in a single, unforgettable finale.
Despite rain showers, fans from Luzon to Mindanao, and even abroad—from Asia to the UAE—gathered to take part in what many are calling a landmark moment in the evolution of OPM. The concert also marked the first time many rising stars—like KAIA, G22, Flow G, and SunKissed Lola—performed in the world’s largest indoor arena.
Ticket redemption events nationwide allowed fans from all walks of life to attend, and audience members enjoyed a VIP experience that included a soundcheck party and freebies from top consumer brands.
“This was about more than entertainment,” added Piedad. “Puregold is about building meaningful experiences for the communities we serve.”
Ken of SB19 summed it up best during the show: “Iba-iba man ang fandom natin, OPM pa rin ang sinusuportahan natin. Isang ebidensya ‘to na magkakaisa tayo lahat.”
Puregold’s OPM Con 2025 was more than a music event—it was a celebration of what OPM has been, what it is now, and what it can be in the future. A genre evolving with every beat, every voice, and every united Filipino heart.
Next question: where will OPM Con 2026 take us?
