Customer tries to cheer up a Delivery Driver after messing up an order; she urges people to be appreciative

Instead of criticizing the driver, Michelle chose to smile and thank him.

Michelle Luna, in a viral facebook post, said she refused to berate a delivery driver when he messed her order.

Today, working as a delivery driver is very common as many people have lost their stream of income because of the pandemic.

Due to restrictions and stay-at-home orders, delivering food and other items may easily be considered a stable job, but it is not even close to being called easy.

A rider is accepted by a delivery company when they have their vehicle — usually a motorcycle.

Some have their own but are not fully functioning. They know delivering is the only way to make money, so the lack of a viable vehicle to do so shouldn’t be an obstacle.

This is what netizens realized when a certain Michelle Luna from Makati shared her story on social media.

The driver’s obvious anxiety caught her attention. When she got closer to get her order, he couldn’t stop apologizing.

She received half a cup of hot chocolate because it spilled while he was making his way to her.

Instead of criticizing the driver, Michelle chose to smile and thank him.

What i did, binaba ko lang slight ung mask ko, nginitian sya at sinabing ‘OK LANG UN KUYA SALAMAT SA PAGHATID NG PAGKAIN KO, NA-APPRECIATE KO HARD WORK MO NGAYONG UMAGA’.”

He delivered via bicycle, which Michelle thought he was even more commendable.

The driver almost cried after her unexpected gesture.

Michelle urged people to start appreciating the little things others do.

May kulang man, piliin padin nating maging mabuti. Lalo na kung tingin natin mas kailangan nila makaranas ng appreciation.” she said.

She too got emotional and got upstairs, quickly.
