A lasting legacy: Lloyd Cadena and giving back

A collection of YouTube playlists and a video for you to see just how good of a person Lloyd Cadena was.

Lloyd Cadena’s passing hit Philippine social media like a ton of bricks. Condolences and tribute videos started popping up and people are still understandably in shock.

The YouTube Creators community in the Philippines lost one of its OG vloggers, and social media lost one of its finest influencers.

Lloyd may no longer be with us, but his legacy lives on. Here are a few playlists and a video to show just how much of an impact he has had—and will continue to have—in the sphere of content creation:

LC Gives Back

This playlist, for us, shows Lloyd Cadena at his best: giving back to the community he brings smiles to every day. He’s received a lot of help from his friends to make things like this happen. For proof, look no further than one of the last videos he uploaded in his main channel.

LC Learns

This series gives foreigners a gut-busting yet still very informative glimpse into Filipino culture. It’s good material for Filipinos as well: it allows us to realize how much fun it is to be a Filipino while still seeing things we can improve on—like being a good neighbor.

Lloyd Cadena’s Halakhak playlist

To see Lloyd Cadena at his absolute funniest (and dare we say it, best), look no further than this playlist. It is probably the ultimate good vibes playlist for those days when you feel like nothing can make you laugh.

Luto Baninat

If you’ve ever wanted to learn recipes without being bored, this is the playlist for you. But seriously, this playlist is for those who want to learn how to cook some of your favorite dishes.

The House that LC built

Perhaps the most prominent legacy Lloyd Cadena has left—outside of his feel-good videos—is the house he built for his mother. It’s the prime example of giving back to someone who has supported you since Day 1. Yes, it has been ridiculed (how many people have commented on those stairs?), but this last vlog from his second channel, Lloyd Cafe Cadena Vlogs, shows that he listens to his critics—especially those who know what they are talking about.

Kween LC, you will be missed.
