A young girl who has one leg and struggled to walk every day going school on her crutches became an inspiration because of her dedication and determination to attend her classes.

The girl behind this inspiring story is Jean Arija Daipal, who lives 2 kms away from her school in Toboso, Negros Occidental. To fulfill her dreams of becoming a doctor someday, she takes her situation as a challenge that she has to overcome.

Having one leg, she had to walk 4 kms to attend her classes and back to her place which was very difficult. But her determination had pushed her to finish her studies and become the doctor that she dreamed of becoming to help people like her have a better life.

The school principal Jumar T. Mahilum admired the determination she had and wished that she would serve as a good example and inspiration for everyone. Like Jean, despite having one leg that could be a hindrance for her success, still, she tried her best to reach her dreams.

Because of Jean’s determination and perseverance, the school principal decided to give her recognition during her early elementary years which encouraged her to work harder to achieve her dreams. Now, all her sacrifices paid off as she was able to graduate from elementary school.

However, she was only a step ahead to her dreams and about to face more challenges as she enters junior high school. Jean hopes someone with a kind heart will help her to have an artificial leg so she can walk better to school.

To help Jean, Mahilum, the principal who admired her determination, shared her story on social media hoping that someone would help her out.

Jean’s story had been an inspiration to many and received positive comments. Later, Mahilum posted an update that there were a lot of people who came and offered financial assistance for Jean for her continuing education. And there were also people who offered to grant her wish in having an artificial leg for her to finish her studies and to become a doctor someday.
