Benevolent Tourist Treated a Sampaguita Vendor Kid with an Expensive Pair of Shoes

At often times, we may lose faith in our humanity because of the unbelievably horrible things a person can do to one another, but despite of it all, there are still a lot of people who continuously proves that the human race still got some hope left.

One of our proofs is the foreigner who reportedly gave a pricey pair of shoes to a kid he doesn’t know at all. Two of our Facebook(Mara Karmela & Ahyan Yerro) users posted their own pictures they took while the foreigner and the kid were both inside a shoe store.

According to Ahyan Yerro, the man came in along with a barefooted little boy. She said that the foreigner saw the kid outside the shopping mall selling Sampaguita and begging for some alms as well.

The man, who was identified as Kris Carroll, let the kid choose which pair of shoes he likes and had a store assistant to get the boy’s size.

Yerro also clarified that the man paid for the shoes with a price of P 2,697, since it was discounted and has an original price of P 4,495. Of course, the man asked the kid to wear the shoes to see if it really fits him.

When the people who witnessed such a heartwarming scene thought it was over, Carroll asked Yerro to tell him where he could buy clothes for the kid and brought him to the department store.

The netizens thought it was such a sweet gesture on the part of the tourist, considering that he is from a nation. The differences didn’t become a hindrance for Carroll to make an effort in making a kid smile.

Indeed, the world still has a lot of people with a heart of gold. We may not always see them, but we now know that they still exist.
