Photos of Tagaytay car crash victims allegedly reveal clues to their ‘Final Destination’

Netizens went abuzz after Facebook cover photos of the Tagaytay car crash victims started circulating on social media.

It appeared to be that the photos, compiled by netizen Christian Layug, were a premonition of the terrible accident that would claim the lives of several victims. Their respective Facebook cover photos are seemingly connected to the circumstances surrounding the accident: a road sign, smoke coming from an explosion, and total darkness.

Layug wrote on Facebook: “Yung four minors po yung mga passengers na namatay sa car accident sa Tagaytay tignan niyo yung cover photos nila.

Road, Signs, Smoke then Darkness.

Then yung single ss po yun yung Driver nila tignan niyo rin yung cover photo niya nakakakilabot.

Terrified netizens couldn’t help but point out the compelling similarities of the incident to 2000 horror flick Final Destination. The film revolved around the protagonist, a high school student Alex Browning played by actor Devon Sawa, who had a premonition of a gruesome accident. Several characters in the story were killed in a series of accidents based on Browning’s premonition.

In the early morning of January 17, Sunday, six graduating junior high school students aged 15 to 16 years old, tragically died after the Toyota Vios model sedan they were riding crashed into a concrete barrier along the highway in Tagaytay City due to apparent over-speeding. Reports revealed that the vehicle burst into flames while the passengers remained trapped inside.

However, a witness to the incident, Den Castillo, disclosed that the authorities failed to give an immediate and appropriate response to the victims which resulted in their untimely deaths. Tagaytay City police chief Supt. Ferdinand Quirante denied her allegations, claiming that the barangay officials and policemen immediately arrived at the scene and took the necessary actions to save the victimss.
