VIDEO: The world’s first ‘wireless’ bungee jump

Imagine this: a simple magnetism principle applied to one of the most popular extreme sports to modify it and create an almost impossible feat. Many inventors are now trying to manipulate the law of nature to have a better extreme sport experience.

In June 2015, a team of engineers gathered together to make wireless bungee jumping a reality. Wireless bungee jumping uses magnetic levitation created by the reaction of oppositely charged magnets.

The experiment was successful as Damien Guette was able to rebound even without a bungee cord. Wearing a vest with magnets and using four dishes which will convert electricity into a very strong magnetic field, wireless bungee jumping has become possible.
