Any gardening enthusiast would love to have an array of the most beautiful and exotic plants he can get his hands on. “Exotic,” however, does not always mean beautiful.

The Dailypedia has listed 10 of the most bizarre, scary-looking, and creepy plants that even the most expert gardener would have second thoughts about. Check these out:

Batflowers are flowering plants that look like bats. The flowers can grow up to 12 inches across, and have long “whiskers” that can grow up to 28 inches. Native to tropical regions of Southeast Asia including Thailand, Malaysia, and southern China, these plants are commonly found in damp and dark places, much like the mammal they’re named after.

While in daylight, these things don’t look as scary as a sleeping bat, it’s quite a different story when you see them in semi-darkness. The petals are almost similar to the leathery wings of a bat.
