Foreign Artists’ Tablet Stolen at Asia Pop Comic Con in Manila

A Facebook post by netizen Sese Ramirez revealed that the tablet of foreign artists Amanda Spayd and Chris Ryniak was stolen while they were attending to people at their booth during the Asia Pop Comic Con in Manila.

According to Sese, the artists didn’t notice that their tablet got stolen since both artists were busy working and selling at their booth.

Moreover, netizen Gaz Garnet claimed that one of her friends lost her phone in their booth during the pre-event.

“My friend also lost her phone on the pre-event/for professionals only day in their booth, too. It’s so wtf because everyone in that day were entrepreneurs or professionals!” Garnet wrote in her comment.

Sadly, theft commonly occurs in our country during conventions, concerts, and other events despite the presence of security personnel. With this in mind, event organizers should take extra measures in ensuring that the event is safe and secure.

Amanda Spayd is an Ohio-based artist and designer known for creating Dust Bunnies art dolls while Chris Ryniak is a toy-designer and sculptor of popular designer art figures and toys.
