Abused OFW in Saudi Arabia Reportedly Rescued After Her Video Pleading for Help Went Viral On Social Media

In an attempt to save herself from her abusive employers in Saudi Arabia, an overseas Filipino worker recorded videos of herself pleading for help and detailing the abuses she experienced.

The three videos of Jasmin Vergara Sanaani surfaced online after netizen Liezl Gonzaga Baliber uploaded them on the social media site Facebook. The videos have gone viral since it was shared on March 9.

Baliber, who claims to be a friend of Sanaani on Facebook, said that the Pinay employee has been subjected to physical and sexual abuse from her employers since 2013.

Crying For Help

In one of the videos posted, the distressed Pinay worker revealed that her ordeal started after her male employer gave her a cellphone in December 2014. Thinking that her male employer was just being kind to her, Sanaani accepted the gift. On January the following year, her female employer found out about it and started beating her. Sanaani also revealed that her employer’s son touched her private parts on February that year. Check out Sanaani’s video.

Sanaani also gave a detailed account of her male employer’s sexual abuses in one of the videos. According to Sanaani, she opted not to report this to authorities since there had been a case of Filipina who was imprisoned for accusing her employer of sexual abuse. Watch Sanaani’s detailed narration here.

Finally, a crying Sanaani can be seen in one of the video clips desperately crying for help. Click this link for Sanaani’s video.

The alleged abused Filipina, who claimed she was adopted by her uncle, also shared her family’s information through her own Facebook account. However, her account is already inaccessible.
