The Balete tree is said to be the dwelling place of ghosts and other imaginary creatures. Based on stories by other people, the White Lady has a very long hair. She wears a white gown with blood stains. Others say her face is covered with blood
Story Check
There were many version of the White Lady story. One claims that the lady was raped by Japanese soldiers in WWII, Another version tells a woman died there of a car accident. Other reports say it is a ghost of a UP student who was raped by a taxi driver, that’s why most of the ghost’s victims involved drivers. Until now, there are still cab drivers who do not pass the Balete drive fearing that the White Lady will appear.
