Father and son live in makeshift cart after losing source of income

As the father lost his job as a construction worker, the two had no choice but to make the tiny space their home.

  • Father and son spotted living inside a small makeshift cart.
  • They were spotted parked along the Pasig River in Guadalupe.

A post by Inquirer.net has gone viral online as it features the unfortunate situation of a father and son.

The two opted to live in a 1×2-meter pushcart after the elder lost his job as a construction worker because of the pandemic.

Rodel Mojica and his 4-year-old son Ruben are now facing a serious challenge in their lives as they struggle to even have anything to eat as they don’t have any cash to buy food. They are trying their best to survive in their kind of new normal as they have no other choice but to deal with it.

According to the post, the two have been dealing with their situation for a few months now. And because they have no money to even have a proper home, they made a small cart as their makeshift house.

Rodel inserted built-in shelves to store their clothes.

As the cart was made in the shape of a house, the father also placed tiny windows on all sides of it to let some air in the tiny space inside.

It is too small for them, but they had no choice but to treat it as their home.
