A little disclaimer here, what this article could suggest definitely does not reflect on the publications’ views and beliefs. We, in all forms, want to make each and every lovely creature belonging to the LGBT+ Community to be safe.
Makes sense?
A certain Anna Cosio went viral online after she posted a controversial statement on her Facebook account. As she started her argument, she said, “Don’t be misled by the SOGIE (“Anti-Discrimination”) bill’s title. It is NOT about “equality” or “anti-discrimination” at all.”
In line with this, Cosio wanted us to read the entire bill to see what it really is about. She also warned that once this bill becomes a law, ‘most basic freedom’ will be taken away from us. Examples given–freedoms of speech, conscience and religion, and freedom of association.
Using wrong pronouns can also mean jail time for everyone who would commit it.
“What counts as “homophobic”, however, depends on the feelings of the offended party. What is certain, though, is that “homophobic” speech includes any form of disagreement with the LGBT doctrine. Speak out against same-sex “marriage”, homosexuality and transgenderism, and you risk landing in jail,” she reasoned out.
*whispers: I kinda feel she doesn’t want homosexuality to interfere with heterosexual’s way of life.*
“Single-sex schools and organizations will be penalized for refusing to admit opposite-sex students/applicants who identify as the gender of the school’s/organization’s population. Biological males who “identify as females” will now be able to enter female-only facilities, such as female locker rooms and toilets. Businesses will be forced to violate their moral and religious convictions as they will be forced to hire applicants who practice certain LGBT behaviors that are contrary to the company’s values.”
Letting it all in
She even touched the issue of employment. It is discrimination, according to her, if employers enforce a strict dress code for men and women. “Parents can be jailed for rearing their children according to their own faith and values,” she added.
“In other words, this bill will force people to ignore science/basic biology, and instead, conform to an ideology that’s based on feelings and pseudo-science. People will be forced to deny their faith, and instead, worship at the altar of “gender sensitivity”.”
In the end of her lengthy post which was shared 600 times, she used an equally controversial hashtags, #StopTheInsanity #JunkSOGIEbill #JunkADB #DoNotPassADB.
This hurts, pretty much. But then again, what she said might be full of sense. After all, it is us who sees things in our own perspective.
