Supercell, creator of the online multiplayer hit game Clash of Clans, released a new game Clash Royale on March 2, 2016. Within just 12 hours after its release, the game has become the top downloaded app on Google Play and Apple store at about 500,000 downloads. Clash Royale is already the No. 7 highest-grossing game on iPhone and No. 25 on the iPad according to Venture Beat.
Clash Royale is an online multiplayer tower-defense game which has all the elements of Supercell’s other hit games like Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, and Hay Day. What sets the game apart is its one-on-one real-time duels. The game also has the popular icons from Clash of Clans. The difference is that the troops are used differently since they compete with another human instead of a computer. It is another strategy game in which you collect (or buy) cards in order to use and upgrade troops.
The screen is split into two “kingdoms” where players will battle each other using their cards. A player wins by taking down the other player’s castle or by taking down the two defense towers. With over 200,000 reviews and a rating of 4.6 on Google Play as of this writing, Clash Royale may definitely surpass Supercell’s mega-hit Clash of Clans.
