1. Wearable Sensors for Dementia Patients

Motivated by his love for his grandfather, Kenneth Shinozuka, a 15-year-old from New York, invented a wearable coin-sized wireless sensor that can be attached to the patient’s sock which is connected to an application in your phone which can monitor the patient’s activity. This invention gained Shinozuka the Scientific American Science in Action Award. He is also one of the Google’s 15 Global Science Fair finalists.
