K-Pop Community Mourns For Ladies’ Code Member EunB’s Death After A Tragic Car Accident

UntitledLadies’ Code is a South Korean girl group formed early 2013 under Polaris Entertainment. Consisting of group members Ashley, RiSe, Sojung, Zuny, and EunB, they immediately rose to stardom even before they released their debut. Their songs include Hate You, Pretty Pretty, So Wonderful, and Kiss Kiss. The group has been nominated in 3 Music Awards and they recently took home the New Artist of the Year Award in the  2014 Gaon Chart.

Just this Wednesday morning, the world was shocked to hear that the all group was involved in a car accident that instantly killed  the 22-year-old member, EunB.

Based on reports, after a schedule in Daegu on September 2, Ladies’ Code members with 2 stylists and bands managers  were in a van driving  back to Seoul at around 1:20AM when their vehicle slipped. After their back wheel fall off, the vehicle spun several times before crashing into a protective wall.

The passengers were immediately brought to St. Vincent’s hospital. Fellow group member Sojung underwent an operation for her bone fracture and RiSe was reportedly out of surgery but still under careful observation. Ashley and Zuny did not receive any serious injuries but because of trauma, they are undergoing treatment and examinations.

Polaris Entertainment said in their statement,

“We want to apologize to all the fans and everyone who have received much shock, and we ask for everyone to pray for the quick recovery of the members.”

They also gave details to EunB’s funeral,

“EunB’s remains are attended to at Korea University Anam Hospital. Her funeral will be held on the 5th.”
