Family hosts bittersweet birthday party for child abducted in 2012

Jose Ja-El Penamora Flores has been missing since October 22, 2012, after he was abducted less than a month before he turned four. But despite his absence, his family hosted a bittersweet celebration for his seventh birthday.

In a heartbreaking post made by his mother Jona Penamora-Flores on the Facebook page dedicated to him, Help Us Find Jose Ja-El P. Flores, it was revealed that the family had promised the child to celebrate his seventh birthday at Jollibee.

While everyone was having a good time, Ja-El’s parents were holding back tears and saying a prayer for their child’s safety and well-being, wherever he may be.

Three years ago, Ja-El was abducted from their home while his mother was out to enroll in school. His father working overseas at the time. To date, the family has no leads as to where the child was taken or who took him.

They have suspects who failed the lie detector test but without any solid evidence, they could not put these people behind bars.

The couple still have not lost hope that they will find him someday, throwing him a fun-filled birthday bash at Jollibee, attended by their closest friends.

The DailyPedia hopes Ja-El will be found soon. You can read more about how he was abducted in this post by his mother.

Here’s a collage of his photos, taken when he was about to turn four.

If you happen to see a child who looks like Ja-El, please coordinate directly with the PNP or DSWD. Or bring him to the nearest Police Station, barangay hall, or DSWD center, if possible, or just call the number on the poster or the police.
